 Leadership is the ability to figure out what you believe and then have the courage to appropriately act on those beliefs. Robert Steven Kaplan

 About Me  40 Years experience in two way radio industry  Attended my first APCO Annual Conference in 1976  Spent almost 10 years living and managing Asia Pacific operations

 Worked for Motorola headed by Bob Galvin.  Worked for General Electric headed by Jack Welch.

 1985 Bob Galvin set Motorola on course to achieve Six Sigma level of quality. Six sigma is achieved when a process does not produce more than 3.4 defects/errors per million opportunities.

 1990 Jack Welch challenged organization to stop wasting time.

 “ Leadership comes in many forms. Leadership isn’t hierarchical and should be encouraged throughout the organization, from entry-level staff up through the C-Suite”  You don’t need an invitation to be a leader.
