SOUTH BOSTON CATHOLIC ACADEMY How we started on the iPads Student in the classroom diagnosed at end of 1 st grade with dysgraphia, a learning disability that provokes the inability to write Started using Evernote, an app that he downloaded on his personal iPad and I downloaded on my Mac laptop Changed Ricky in the classroom, the class was interested and engaged in the work he was doing Ricky!

SOUTH BOSTON CATHOLIC ACADEMY Nativity Projects We studied the story of the Nativity in religion At Christmas time we toured the church, the school and browsed the internet looking for depictions of the Nativity We took pictures using the iPads Using the drawing app on the iPads, the children created their own Nativitys 2A &2B

SOUTH BOSTON CATHOLIC ACADEMY Using the iPads to Interpret Content in Social Studies Before the iPads we would use the online component of Scholastic News reading it and reviewing keywords With the iPads, the students had their choice of what content they wanted to focus on and how they wanted to present it using ToontasticToontastic Road to Gold

Just tap the answer to each question on the map. Keep track of your progress through the statistics page so that you will always know where you can improve.
