 iPad with 32 GB  Bag to carry the iPad  Cable – Student is responsible  Heavy Duty Case  Apps for 3 years  MDM for 3 years  Self-Insurance

 Replace any damaged cables  $100 Deductible for repairs – Cracked Screen  Lost or Stolen – File a police report  Excessive Wear and Tear  Use in a responsible manner  Keep Software updates current (iOS 7.1.1)  Keep Apps updated  Let us know immediately if there is a problem such as a cracked screen.

 Be aware of what you child is doing on the iPad – we have had some issues when a younger brother or sister gets on the device.  Be aware of Wi-Fi outside of school (may not be safe or have an adequate Firewall)  Report any problems ASAP  if you have any problems:

 We will setup the iPad  Students will all receive training in how to use the iPad during the first week of school  They will not be able to take the iPad home until we are sure they can handle it properly.  This training will be completed with Mr. Bedford and Mr. Reynolds

 Mobile Device Management  SFX will provide for 3 years  Manages the iPad  Pushes out the Apps  This applies to the iPad at any location (home or school)

 This is one of our goals  Fewer interactive books are available at this level  PDF copies are one option

 Not necessary to have iTunes  SFX will push out all of the Apps  Manages the iPad at school and home  Will be setup this Summer

 No Social Media – Facebook, Instagram, etc  No Messaging  No inappropriate Apps  Camera?  The iPad is managed by St Francis School (MDM)  At school we have a well-maintained Firewall to filter inappropriate sites  Restrictions are built into the MDM.

 Another tool  Taking Notes – Notability  Learning – Laudate  Collaborative Learning – Sharing Google Docs  Teacher can “focus” or restrict the student to one App when in the classroom.
