What is Anorexia? C.N.N.S. The Bracelet A Treatment for Anorexia Without the Fear of Pain

Our Goal is to make a successful treatment for an anorexic patient. Our invention is the C.N.N.S. or Carbon Nanotube Nutrition Sensor. The C.N.N.S. includes a group of nanobots and a carbon nanotube bracelet. A patch on the underside of the bracelet will contain nanobots which will be absorbed into the bloodstream. The nanobots will have sensors that measure vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, core temperature, etc. The nanobots will not only be a monitor of vital signs, they will also deliver key nutrients that anorexics lack such as glucose. If we succeed, anorexics will have a much easier recovery with very few doctors because the nanobots act like miniature hospitals inside you. Our mission is to make the recovery and treatment of anorexics much easier and less painful. What is Anorexia? C.N.N.S. The Bracelet

What is Anorexia? Anorexia is a mental and physical disease in which the patient fasts or eats very little for an extended period of time. Four out of every 15 people in the world have anorexia. That means that over 1 billion people suffer from this disease. This disease is hard to detect and by the time the doctors figure out you have anorexia it can be too late. Anorexia causes suffering not only to the patient, but also to the patient’s family. Almost every anorexic diagnosed refuses treatment and denies having this disease. Therefore, the patient must see a physician, therapist, and a nutritionist in order to get healthy again. Nobody wants to suffer through that. That is why we set out to find a way to treat and help people rebound from this awful disease. C.N.N.S. The Bracelet

The nanobots work by harnessing thermal energy produced by the human body. The Thermoelectric Generator takes heat from a source and it goes through thermocouples that produce electricity. This electricity will power the nanobot on it’s way through the bloodstream. The generator has a very long life span, therefore the nanobot does too. While the energy produced by the generator is turned into energy the nanobot can run on by the transformer, the sensor picks up vital sign signals. Those signals are sent to the processor, which relays the information to the transmitter. The transmitter sends the information to the bracelet and the bracelet sends the information to the doctor, nutritionist, and therapist. The nanobot can also receive signals from the bracelet, telling it where in the body to go. The nutrient containment area stores the nutrient the nanobot is delivering to the body. When the nanobot gets to the designated drop location the container hatch opens, dropping the load. What is Anorexia? C.N.N.S. The Bracelet

What is Anorexia? C.N.N.S. The Bracelet The bracelet serves many functions in our invention. The bracelet will store the nanobots and release them into the blood stream using a patch on the underside. It will be approximately two inches long and carry close to 24 million nanobots. The nanobots will send information to the bracelet where the data will be organized and sent to the nutritionist and doctor of the patient. RFID tags will store the information received by the bracelet. The wearer will also be able to communicate with the doctor and nutritionist while their picture will be shown on the display. A retina scanner will be on the side of the bracelet so that it unhinges when the doctor and/or nutritionist shows it their eye. An alarm system will also be included to the bracelet in case the wearer tries to pull or rip it off. Three lithium ion batteries and solar panels will be used to power the bracelets computer. The bracelet will be able to change color because it is made out of carbon nanotubes which emit light.
