Great Invention Overview

Section 1 / Rationale  Name technologies from which yours branched  Name technologies yours improves upon or make obsolete  Should include picture of each related technologies  Provide a history of prior technologies that led to the development of your technology/invention/product  Include technologies that exist today  Include other “future technologies” that your group “discovered”

Section 2 / Justification 1) Why did you decide to create this technology? 2) Is there a problem that needs to be fixed? 3) Will this make life easier? How? 4) Who will benefit from your technology? 5) Will there be any negative effects?

Section 3 / Nuts and Bolts  Description of the technology/invention/product (size, dimensions, weight)  Include photo/illustration of your product, technology, or invention  What is it? – Detailed description (size, dimensions, weight, materials, special features)  What does it do?  How does it work?  Does your new technology use or need other technologies to function properly?  Who would use this technology? – Public, military, big business, government, etc.

Section 4 / Advantages and Disadvantages  Relate back to justification  Could it harm the environment?  Will it increase/decrease jobs in the workplace?  Who can afford it? Why?  Could it alter humanity/civilization as we know it?  Could it lead to increased global populations? Decreased?

Section 5 / Why MagTech?  1) Sell me on your invention  2) Remember, I must profit to even consider investing  3) Despite my rather tree-hugging persona here at SMNW, remember, for this project, I am CEO/CFO of a multi-bazillion dollar corporation  4) Sell me on your invention – make me go... “BAM, I need this gizmo.”  5) Included in your rationale should be financial considerations concerning the production, distribution, and marketing of your technology/invention
