© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 5 Assertion Only the setup of the system in last section has been successful can we start to perform the following testing process.

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 6 Test Connectivity between Brainlab and BioImage Suite If the connection is good, you will see a list images which are available on Brainlab system. Highlight one and then clicking Transfer Image button will get that image from Brainlab to BioImage. The image will display in the VVLink Viewer window (next slide).

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 7 Test Connectivity between Brainlab and BioImage Suite The image display window.

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 8 Test Connectivity between Brainlab and BioImage Suite If the Enable button is clicked and when somebody moves the tracking device with the Brainlab system, BioImage will receive real-time tracking data and the image will be reformatted accordingly (next slide).

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 9 Test Connectivity between Brainlab and BioImage Suite Image reformats as receiving tracking data from Brainlab Coordinates update as receiving tracking data from Brainlab

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 10 Test Connectivity between Brainlab and BioImage Suite Make sure all three buttons are checked

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 11 Test Connectivity between Brainlab and BioImage Suite Clicking this button will send the current image in the VVLink Viewer to Slicer3 (next slide)

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 12 Test Connectivity between Brainlab and BioImage Suite

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 13 Test Connectivity between Brainlab and BioImage Suite Clicking this button will send the current coordinates in the VVLink Viewer to Slicer3 (next slide)

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 14 Test Connectivity between Brainlab and BioImage Suite Go to the Transform module to see the coordinates. Make sure the node name is BioImageSuite

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 15 Testing the entire System To test the entire system, make sure: – Enable button is clicked on Slide 8 – All three buttons are checked on Slide 10 Then we will see Slicer3 receives real-time tracking data as the tracking device with Brainlab is moved (next slide)

© NIH National Center for Image-Guided Therapy 16 Testing the entire System Values will update on a real-time base
