Yellow card + minimum thickness This way was used successfully with motors and solenoids New motors >40 mm with UL 1004 / CSA 100 – Electric Motors If there are customer requests – application for UL1004 Motor design takes care of current UL 1004 requirements Motors <40 mm may not, <36 mm can not fulfil large UL clearance and creepage distances New designs usually use “free” UL - Insulation Systems from DuPont Is CSA 100 really necessary, it seems to double costs ?
