Art for the Earth Art Contest All artwork must be submitted to the Media Center before 2:00 P.M. Monday April 16th Do not submit any artwork to the Media Center before spring break Please take projects to the Media Center during your science class to minimize interruptions (just like science fair)

What kind of art?? Artwork can include sculptures, paintings, carvings, crafts, textiles, or other visible forms using any non-hazardous material Artwork should have an environmental stewardship theme or Earth Day-related theme Artists may submit a paragraph to be displayed at the event explaining how their artwork relates to Earth Day or other environmentally-related topics Artwork should be no heavier than 100lbs with dimensions no wider than 4-feet around and no taller than 7-feet Please supply hanging hardware, easels or display equipment for flat artwork

Top Artwork A panel of judges will score the artwork on Monday April 16 th after school The top 3 pieces of art from each grade level (6,7, and 8) and one overall winner for the school will be selected to go to the Kernersville Earth Day Celebration to represent our school Some prizes will be given at the town level and all 10 participants will receive a certificate of participation from the mayor of Kernersville
