Goals To promote the group of a cluster and export consortia for the SMEs in Lao silk handicraft within the next 3 years to encourage exports in the sub - region and global market. Silk Cluster Development

Activities Activities There are 3 main activities had been included as it follows: 1.Preparation 2.Implementation 3.Monitoring and Evaluation

1.Preparation: − Report to our organization − Identify for the respond organization − Setup a plan & Pilot project − Taskforce − Looking for the supporters (Donors & Technical assistance) − Revise the cluster and export consortia curriculum − Identify the target of participations Activities

Activities 1.Preparation (cont): − Translate the documents − Printing − Survey − Choosing the product example − Contact with the producers/association − Preparation for the producers/company profile − Setup the training agenda

2. Implementation − Introduce cluster to the silk handicraft SMEs (Workshop/Field visit) − Built-up the network among the producers and exporters − Setup the clusters and export consortia of silk handicraft − Support the information (standard, financial access, markets access and technology assistance) Activities

3. Monitoring and Evaluation − Lesson learn − Check for the feedback & Evaluations − Report the result − Research paper Activities

Assumptions  The target participations had been acknowledge on SMEs cluster and export consortia  All information on export of silk handicraft had been distribute to all the members  Product’s standard had been improve  Export of silk handicraft had a good potential to increase the market share in the global market

Evaluation  After the training, we will conduct interview and field visit once more to observe for the cluster performance  The results from the interview and field visit will put on the final report to the respond organization and MI  Continue working with MI for the results if it is need to adjust for the action plan or develop it to the better way  Conduct more on the research paper on cluster and etc …
