Who is Van Gogh? Vincent Van Gogh was a famous artist from the 1800’s. Van Gogh was known for his self portraits and sunflower paintings. Van Gogh liked to paint sunflowers because sunflowers are yellow and the color yellow made him feel happy.

What’s Special About Van Gogh’s Sunflowers? Van Gogh’s flowers use mainly warm colors (oranges, yellows, and reds). Van Gogh’s flowers use repetition with the type of flowers used, with the types of colors used, and with the petal shapes used. Van Gogh uses texture in his painting.
