INTRODUCTION The 2016 Garden State Film Festival will present over 180 of the best of current independent films from around the globe, showcasing an exclusive selection of award-winning films representing a truly unique mix of culture and genre. ATLANTIC CITY Atlantic City in Southern New Jersey serves as the stunning backdrop to the Festival’s film screenings and special events. Accessible from both Philadelphia and New York City, Atlantic City offers an optimal setting to experience filmmaking at its finest. New Jersey boasts one of the largest consumer groups in the world and a rich filmmaking history. Literally millions of visitors every year are drawn to the spectacular coastline, fine dining, shopping and recreational activities that Southern New Jersey has to offer.

VENUES Screenings are held at several venues in Atlantic City. With 7 screens showing films each day, our venue partners including Resorts Hotel & Casino (top right), Dante Hall (lower right),, and the Claridge Hotel (below) provide a fantastic viewing experience during the weekend of the festival.

SPECIAL EVENTS NETWORKING & POST-PARTY GATHERINGS The 2016 Festival will feature two red carpet events, post-parties, professional panels all with celebrity attendance. Post party events will have entertainment, hors d’oeuvres prepared by award-winning restaurants and hosted bars.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH & EDUCATION The Garden State Film Festival does extensive outreach throughout the year for youth groups, schools, seniors, military and other non-profits throughout the tri-state area.

CineBallot Garden Sate Film Festival is on the cutting edge of technology. One of the most fun and interactive aspects of the film festival experience is the Audience Choice Awards. The contests are usually conducted on paper ballots in festival venues. After each festival screening, staff and volunteers gather the votes and tally them up. The Audience Choice winner is announced at the festival’s closing ceremonies to great fanfare. The project is great—the process is not.
