What do you do: With students who fall below your lowest placement scores? With students who want to practice before taking a placement test? With students who are so overwhelmed with the number of remedial courses that they should take, that they drop out before they even start?

The ACCUPLACER diagnostic assessment is paired with proven MyFoundationsLab remediation. This powerful combined experience enhances college preparedness and student success.

Diagnostic analyses of students’ strengths and weaknesses to better prepare for college level coursework and reduce remediation. Fosters the development and enhancement of intervention programs, curriculum alignment and standards. Develops stronger alignment between high school and colleges curriculum, advising, counseling, course offerings and specialized programs Reducing the need for Developmental Education mayimprove persistence by saving time and money Students diagnosed early and placed in the appropriate courses succeed at higher rates in attaining a certificate, Associates or Bachelors degree College Readiness Persistence Completion Accurate course placement is a vital component of student persistence, retention, and completion.

3. Students can demonstrate topic mastery by taking a post-test with a mastery score or achieving a mastery score on all activities. (This is an instructor setting.)

 Independent Study: Student provides own access to technology and monitors own improvement  Independent Study with Instructor/Teacher Guidance: Student provides own access to technology but is monitored by teacher/instructor  Blended Learning: Teacher/instructor integrating technology into curriculum.  Lab: Student is given access to technology and is monitored by instructor.

Implementation Possibilities Include: Creating a College Readiness course for Seniors which reviews the skills measured on ACCUPLACER and blends traditional instruction with MyFoundationsLab. Use MyFoundationsLab as part of an ongoing English and/or Math course at either the high school or college level Provide opportunities for independent study, preferably with teacher guidance Create an intervention program such as a Summer Boot Camp.
