But I’m not the worship leader...  Many of same responsibilities as leader minus booking practices, choosing songs  Responsible for private worship, leading corporate worship, facilitating worship, flow, eliminating distractions, etc.  See all of the previous workshops for more

Practices  Learn songs sent by leader, especially new ones (listen to song, practice chords, learn beat/rhythm, etc.)  Setup and be ready for practice start time (help others, sound check, photocopies, etc.) Also help with tear downs

Practices  Practice your craft and strive for excellence Psalm 33:3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.  Save own practicing for private time; rehearse at worship practices  Be patient!

Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is helpful to me in my ministry.

Common Worship Team Problems  Chronic tardiness Is the leader on time? Is rehearsal time/location a problem? Does everyone have a ride? Are team members overcommitted to other responsibilities? Do people understand the value and importance of practices?

Common Worship Team Problems  Team lacks closeness Sharing, bible studies Meet outside practices to fellowship  Member with significant sin still wants to lead worship Is it ok for bible study leaders? Prayer leaders? Restore through gentle discipline, prayer, counsel (Matthew 18) Don’t jeopardize spiritual life
