Urban Changes Neighborhoods: Then and Now

There’s nothing quite like a neighborhood. Let’s look at how neighborhoods have changed through the years.

This is an early neighborhood, built about 900 years ago in Colorado. Early Puebloan people built this neighborhood. What do you think this neighborhood is made out of?

Here is a closer view of the buildings in the neighborhood What do you think this neighborhood is made out of? Why? About how many people do you think lived in this neighborhood? Mesa Verde, Colorado

Some neighborhoods were easy to build, take down, move, and then build again. This is the type of home used by many tribes in North America. Do you know what it is called? What is it made of? How did these neighborhoods affect the local area? About how many people lived in each of these homes?
