Jesus (“grew up to change the world”). Mary and Joseph (Jesus’s parents). Angel Gabriel; He told Mary that she would give birth to God’s child.
Bethlehem- This was where Jesus was born. Jerusalem - The holy city in Israel. Judea- Under the rule of Israel.
God created all. Although he died Jesus rose again going to heaven. People who repent of their sins will be forgiven. They believe in the 10 Commandments.
Began first century A.D. Most widely spread religions in the world. Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Jesus was crucified and a wooden cross.
Christmas- This is when Jesus was born. Easter- When Jesus rose from the dead. Good Friday- Christians believe this is a day for fasting.
Christians believe in only one god. This is called monotheism. They believe God is the father of Jesus Christ.
The New Testament has 27 chapters. Each chapter represents a person in the New Testament. The Old Testaments is followed by Christians and Jews.
These are the two types of Christians. Orthodox- Strictly follow the religion. Roman Catholic-Has unique beliefs, practices and traditions.
God gave the people two different types of food. Bread- The bread symbolized his body. Wine- The wine symbolized his holy blood.
