 Jesus (“grew up to change the world”).  Mary and Joseph (Jesus’s parents).  Angel Gabriel; He told Mary that she would give birth to God’s child.

 Bethlehem- This was where Jesus was born.  Jerusalem - The holy city in Israel.  Judea- Under the rule of Israel.

 God created all.  Although he died Jesus rose again going to heaven.  People who repent of their sins will be forgiven.  They believe in the 10 Commandments.

 Began first century A.D.  Most widely spread religions in the world.  Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.  Jesus was crucified and a wooden cross.

 Christmas- This is when Jesus was born.  Easter- When Jesus rose from the dead.  Good Friday- Christians believe this is a day for fasting.

 Christians believe in only one god.  This is called monotheism.  They believe God is the father of Jesus Christ.

 The New Testament has 27 chapters.  Each chapter represents a person in the New Testament.  The Old Testaments is followed by Christians and Jews.

 These are the two types of Christians.  Orthodox- Strictly follow the religion.  Roman Catholic-Has unique beliefs, practices and traditions.

 God gave the people two different types of food.  Bread- The bread symbolized his body.  Wine- The wine symbolized his holy blood.
