BCG “View Transactions” Report A Guide for Mailers

2 View Transactions Report  User must have access to Manage Mailing Activity on BCG to view this report.  Two types of transactions are available: – Financial: includes Adjustments, Deposits, Fees, Refunds, Reversals, and Transfers – Postage Statements (Mailings): includes finalized postage statements only. To view postage statements in other statuses, use the Dashboard.  Search for transactions by the beginning and ending date range for the transactions you want to view. The date range for any search must be 125 days or less.

Business Rules  Transactions only appear on the View Transactions report for approximately 13 months after the transaction date. Note: If you need to retain this data for a longer period of time, please download it while it is available and store the information on your computer.  You can only view permits that are linked to your business location(s). The location(s) must be linked to your user account.  The View Transactions report includes Permit Holder and/or Mailing Agent transactions. If you are the Mailing Agent and not the Permit Holder you can only view your mailings (postage statements) for the permit and not the Financial transactions for the permit. 3

4 Navigation Steps - Home page 1. Login to the Business Customer Gateway (BCG). 2. Click Mailing Reports on the Favorite Services menu in the upper right if it is available. 3. The Mailing Reports page will appear. Continue with Step 5 on the Mailing Reports page (slide 7). Option 1 – Favorite Services Menu Customized for Mailing Reports

5 Navigation Steps - Home page 1. Login to the Business Customer Gateway (BCG). 2. If the option for Mailing Reports is not available on your Favorite Services menu, click Mailing Services on the left menu bar. 3. Continue with Step 4 on the Mailing Services page (next slide). 6 Navigation – Mailing Services page 4. On the Mailing Services page, find the option for Mailing Reports (PostalOne!), and then click Go to Service using the green button next to the option. Option 2 – Favorite Services Menu NOT Customized for Mailing Reports

7 Navigation – Mailing Reports page 5. Click View Transactions on the Mailing Reports page. Arrival on Mailing Reports page via either option 1 or 2

8 View Transactions - Search  Enter a date range and then click SEARCH.  An error message warns users if: – the date range exceeds a span of 125 days OR – the date range extends more than 13 months into the past.  Additional filters can be applied using the options in the Transaction Search. Note: The Date Range is required for a Transaction Search; all other search filters are optional.

9 View Transactions Report  Transaction data can be downloaded using one of the following options: – To download all transactions on the page, click DOWNLOAD. – To download an individual line, click the page icon ( ) corresponding to that transaction.  Click a Tran Type link to view the receipt.  Click a Pstg Stmt # link to view the details. Reminder: If you need to retain this data for longer than 13 months beyond the transaction date, please download it during the window in which it is available and store the information on your computer.
