Open Policy Develop & Execute 4 Open Policy Projects – Implementation plan for existing open policy. – Policy development on the distribution of the state government produced works. – Policy development on copyright ownership of faculty produced work using college resources. – Policy development that sanctions the adjunct faculty’s use of OER.

How to Use OER training Continue offering How to Use OER training – Trained 600 faculty and staff since December 2013 – 110 participants for February 2015 training – Official training for TACCCT grantees – Next training will be offered mid-April Faculty feedback link:

Research in Open Education Continue conducting research to generate meaningful data to support and enhance OER adoption in the system. A new research report released: – Qualitative Investigation of Faculty Open Educational Resource Usage in the Washington Community and Technical College System: Models for Support and Implementation.

Next-Generation Courseware Challenge Support implementation of NGCC project – The Lumen Learning-led project for the Gates Courseware Challenge will develop next- generation courseware in four subjects: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Introduction to Business and Principles of Marketing – Spokane school district and Everett Community College will participate in Fall, Winter and Spring pilot.
