Student… Behavioral Expectations  Behave in a mature manner.  Work, talk and listen at the appropriate times. Do not talk without permission or when others are talking.  Respect/treat others as you would like to be respected/treated.  Foul or abusive language will not be tolerated.  Come to class prepared everyday. Completed work, notebook, pencil/pen, paper, etc.  Do not use any electronic gadgets. (phones/mp3/cd’s) I will take them…talk to the dean’s.  Take assigned seat upon entering class begin DQ, DW, DJ’S etc. Do not leave seat without permission.

CURRENT EVENTS ARTICLES PERTAINING TO CLASS FROM:  NEWS PAPER  INTERNET  MAGAZINE  JOURNAL DIGEST NEW ONE EACH FRIDAY PUT INTO THE NOTEBOOK, TAPED, GLUED OR STAPLED TO A LINED PIECE OF PAPER Due every Friday, in your notebook. Graded w/nb chk

LOCATION OF COURSE RULES AND REGS AND SYLLABUS  You have an option of printing a hard copy and getting them online. If you want them online (my recommendation), you can find them on my.ccsd.net. We had some issues with file size last year, so you will be better off uploading them as a pdf file. It is not difficult. The course expectations would be reviewed in class, students would print the signature page directly from the school website (ArborViewHS.net) and return it to you.

Tardy Policy  Arbor View High School Tardy Policy  TARDY #1 – Student is warned  TARDY #2 – Student is warned – Parent contact is attempted  TARDY #3 – Student is warned – Teacher assigns a consequence  If student fails to complete the assigned consequence then a referral will be written and student will be sent to the Deans’ Office.  TARDY #4 – Student is sent to the Deans’ Office – IHS Assigned; Parent Contacted  TARDY #5 - Student is sent to the Deans’ Office - Required Parent Conference (RPC)  TARDY #6 - Student is sent to the Deans’ Office - Suspension  NOTE: Subsequent tardies after the 6th will be documented on a regular Student Discipline Referral = Suspension.
