Warm-up #8 Make a reflection for yesterday’s culture lab. – 3 things you learned about Japanese Culture. – 2 things you enjoyed about the activity. – 1 thing you struggled with or have a question about.

Changes in Japan While the court lived in luxury in Heian during the 1100s, life in the rest of Japan was difficult. Nobles fought over land and power, rebels fought against imperial nobles, and warfare made it difficult for peasants to grow enough crops to sustain the empire. Large landowners decided they needed protectors and a new class system was born….
