IntroductionLesson Quiz

This lesson is an English Language Arts lesson for Kindergarten. This lesson follows the Ohio Content Standards and the Ohio Common Core for Kindergarteners. The Standard this lesson covers is: Strand: Reading: Foundational Skills Topic: Phonological Awareness Standard Statement: Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes). a. Recognize and produce rhyming words. Learning Objectives: After the completion of this lesson, children will be able to recognize and produce rhyming words.

A rhyme is a word that has the same sound at the end of the word. Example: Bee Tree

Rhyming words have the same ending sound. These are words like dog & frog, cat & bat, or bee & tree. If words do NOT have the same ending sound, they do NOT rhyme.
