Mobile Application  Release Plan  Version 1 – No Photos - May  Version 2 – With Photos – June  Version 3 – With Map - Summer  Data is live on Web Application within 10 minutes.  No user information is required at this time, but unique device identifier is captured.  Works with IOS and Android Devices

Mobile Application: Collect Data

Data Collection Patterns User may only have a few seconds to take photo and collect location.  Allow user to separate location collection from form completion. User is likely to be on edge of area of interest.  Capture bearing and distance to center of area. Bearing is more important and can use built-in compass. User may be poor judge of area and distance.  Use qualitative measures when possible with a generalized definition.  High resolution imagery can be used to verify.

Web Application  Dynamic maps generated with Google Earth Engine  NDVI or other base maps from Google Earth Engine images  Clusters from preliminary product (Jun: Africa)  Server generates map id and token to Google Earth Engine tiles as requested and caches the result for other users for up to 24 hours.

Server: Validation Data  Data generated by users of the web and mobile application goes through a random process of being assigned as either training or validation data.  A portion of the validation data can be reviewed and modified in the web application.  Users of the web application will not know if they are looking at training or validation data.
