Climate In the Tropical Rain Forest it rains about 50 to 200 inches a year The rainforest only gets about 1% of sunlight because there are no wholes between the tree tops of the trees. Facts about the animals African Forest elephant= recently discovered as a 3rd species of elephant Bengal tiger= a greatly feared predator who helps to balance out the food web Chimpanzee= endangered animals due to the destruction of their habitats Palm Civet= it is believed that the animal is nocturnal to avoid predators Dawn Bat= many people kill them as there are no laws in most places to protect them Slender Loris= native people believe that this animal’s body parts have magical powers, but it is hard to tell how many of them remain due to their swift movements and nocturnal habits
