Welcome to Our Class! I will introduce you to our classroom. If you have any questions during my presentation, please raise your hand and wait to be called on.
All About Me My background I grew up in Las Vegas. I attended the University of Nevada, Reno and Fitchburg State College, MA. My experience I’ve been teaching for 20 years. I have also taught 1 st through 3rd grade, as well as resource.

My Goals To give you the academic and social skills you need to progress. To provide a supportive environment in which learning is fun. To help you make new friends and discover new interests.
Class Subjects The subjects we cover are: Reading Writing Math Science Social Studies Language
Reading Each student will progress in reading at their own individualized level.
Writing We will cover: Sentence Structure Paragraph Writing Letter Writing How-To Writing
Math We will cover: Calculations Time, Money, Measurement, Fractions Calendar Number Sense
Science We will study: Habitats Human Body Space Magnets Plants
Social Studies We will study: Continents Countries Holidays Map Skills
Language We will study: Story Elements Questioning Strategies Oral / Written Expression
Classroom Community Our classroom is a community. In our community, we have rules to help us get along with each other. Our class rule is: RESPECT Raise your hand if you want to talk. Treat other as you would like to be treated. Be on time and follow directions. Share and help each other.
Homework I will assign about 30 minutes of homework every night. This includes 20 minutes of reading. Students will study addition / subtraction math facts every night. Your homework packet is due on Friday morning.
Tardiness School starts at 8:00 A.M. If you aren’t in the classroom by the time the second bell rings, please check in at the school office before coming to class.
