I want to stand and share my manifesto My father was killed when I was 4. I will honor his name by living an honorable life. I intend never to use his death as an excuse for my failures, big or small. I pray, no, I have faith the Lord will help me keep this public declaration

I was bullied and I bullied others I know what it feels like to sit in USC Medical Center for 8 hours waiting to be seen by a doctor because my eyes and jaw won’t open. I forgive the bullies and I forgive myself for being a jerk too, as not to repeat it again. These wrongs are in my past and no longer define the person I am, today.

I was ashamed and shamed others I learned bigotry toward me really doesn’t matter. My mom would tell me, “Son, it doesn’t matter what others call you, it only matters what name you respond to!” Marty McFly had to learn this too. I will not let my children or their children find one itty bitty excuse to feel less than others. I will withhold my actions and words from shaming others.

I know poverty and I know darkness, they are not the same I know what it feels like to see momma put back groceries because there wasn’t enough cash but my momma was not in darkness I made hundreds of cash transactions that left me, cash positive, but in darkness at a young age Now older and wiser, I lost dozens of thousands of dollars in net worth, in my old age, but chose to remain in the light, let my “status” take a hit but not my integrity I will not look down on the poor and only try to share the light with my fellow man, that I recognize is walking in darkness as I once did

I know the meaning of being morally destitute, I choose Love I know what it means to hate, betray, lie, cheat and they all lead to one place, extreme loneliness. There is nothing lower in a man’s mind, heart and soul than for your family to wish you out of the picture. To feel used up and as valuable as dirty dish water. It is here, this low place, that I began living, not just writing, my manifesto

The greatest power on earth is love Love Never Fails You can screw up badly and those who love you, guess what, they will still love you. You can go bankrupt, lose everything, yup, they still love you. You can embarrass the hell out of all your loved ones, the next day, there they are, loving you. So I choose and risk to succeed. When I fail I get up and try again.

The second greatest power on earth is forgiveness Forgiveness is oil for the love machine around you on this earth Moms and dads who learn forgiveness stay together for a very long time Countries that ignore forgiveness stay at war for centuries Killers who write manifestos never learned to give forgiveness, never experienced the true freedom and power that forgiveness brings

More on forgiveness To those who want to commit suicide, forgiveness is still an option, you deserve to live a full and happy life and it will come if you let forgiveness have its rightful place in you To all who have been wronged, use this ugly event as an opportunity to forgive and find how powerful you really are, it will help you find freedom and peace Someday you may need to ask forgiveness, learn to receive it gracefully and value it, forever.
