Lessons Learned

First Job – Rotation Engineer Rotate through 3 business groups in first year after school Logic design in desktop market, board design in mobile market, product marketing in network processors Learn new skills, understand the business, ramp up quickly, grow your network Highly recommended! Look for this program wherever you apply for job

Latest Job – Engr Manager A company-wide reorganization created a manager-shaped hole in my team 2 nd level manager asked 6pm Thurs Quick self-assessment and consulting with colleagues Took the job 12pm Fri Always be ready, have a network of trusted friends, let people know what you want

Outside of Work Led volunteers in Women at Intel Network employee group Started annual conference, clothing drive, external networking events Very fulfilling experience, creates close bonds with the team, learned how to influence without authority Don’t let “but it’s never been done before!” stop you!

(Really) Outside of Work Got married April 2005 Helped mother fight against cancer 2006  Take time off, take care of yourself and your family, don’t schedule your life around your work
