General Motors Files Bankruptcy Adrian Torres

How do past events effect our lives and our literature? It can change the way we think about something. The way events change our literature can be how the author writes to persuade people to read.

What global events led to this particular event? GM knew it was inevitable to file for bankruptcy protection after years of losses and market share declines capped by a dramatic plunge in sales in recent months.

What happened during this event? The General Motors company filed for bankruptcy protection. They were forced to cut 20,000 jobs and close down 12 facilities.

What have been the global effects of this event? The US government lost billions of dollars in recovering GM from bankruptcy so they couldn’t invest more in other parts of the economy.

What do you think will be the end result of this event? GM will get back on its feet and give the 20,000 workers their jobs back.
