SUCCESS STORIES IN CLIMATE CHANGE EDUCATION ADVANCEMENT Dr. Hai Hoa Nguyen, Vietnam Forestry University

 Started to join the USAID LEAF RCCCD in August 2014;  Contribute to development of CMM materials (Carbon Measurement & Monitoring) Module;  Presented the developed materials at Regional TOT courses in in Kuala Lumpur from 4 to 8 August 2014;  Revise & improve curriculum materials together with 12 universities in the Southeast Asia and Pacific Region;  Adapt the BCC, CMM & LELUP Modules & give lectures at the Open Seminars/workshops on Integrating Climate Change Curriculum into VFU.

Course (NR353): Global Climate Change: Impacts & Mitigation  Chapter 1 (6 hours- 4/2): Introduction to Climate Change (BCC 1.1 – BCC 1.4)  Chapter 2 (15 hours - 10/5): Impacts of Climate Change (BCC 2.1- BCC 2.6)  Chapter 3 (15 hours- 9/6): Mitigation & Adaptation to Climate Change (BCC 3.1- BCC 3.7)  Chapter 4 (6 hours- 4/2): Other Environmental Issues (CMM 2.1- CMM 2.3) Further work needed: Climate Change Glossary for future use.

 Adaptation to different context;  Language barrier for material delivery;  Financial support for further CCCD.
