Why Does Reading Matter? “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” ― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!

Did you know… Just 20 minutes a day makes a very significant difference in boosting test scores. Reading books has the greatest impact on achievement, but all print media, including magazines and newspapers, are productive in improving achievement.

Why does all this matter?

Well…

Maybe if you hear it from your peers… http://www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=_fLqJfhAaqc&feature= related

Here’s the plan… Determine your reading rate. Determine the level that is just right for you. Select a “just right” book. Don’t worry, we will help. Keep track of all the books you read. Take notes and participate in the mini-lessons. Determine how many pages need to be read daily in order to finish the book in one week. Use the skills and strategies that help you comprehend.
