In 1960, Bennett Cerf (President of Random House Publishing Co.) bet Dr. Seuss $50 that he could not write an entire book using only fifty words. The result was Green Eggs and Ham.

Did you know that? Dr. Seuss also wrote books under the name Theodore Lesieg. He used this name when he wrote the story but someone else illustrated the book. ( Lesieg = Geisel backwards)
