Theodore Geisel was born March 2, 1904 His father worked in a zoo His mother loved to read What would a camel and a giraffe and a goat look like if you mixed them together????

The first book he wrote was And to Think That I Saw it On Mulberry Street Written in 1937 No one really liked it!

His most famous book! Written in 1957 with 236 words The Cat in the Hat

Dr. Seuss is the author of 44 books

The last book Dr. Seuss died in 1991 at the age of 87
