Michael Jordan: Tried out for and was cut from his high school basketball team Is considered one, if not THE, greatest basketball players of all time….. He was also considered a big embarrassment to baseball…

Lessons to be Learned: Everyone has the ability to be successful in life. Yes, sometimes you may have to work harder than other people. Life is not always fair. Goal Setting is an important tool that successful people use. Failure Happens – There are times in life you will not succeed. DO NOT use this as an excuse to give up.

LESSON GOALS: I can increase my achievement by setting, reflecting, and re-working my academic goals. ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS FOR STUDENTS’: Am I on track to meet my goals? Cite evidence! In what areas do I struggle? How can I do better at school? MATERIALS NEEDED: Student Led Conference Presentation PowerPoint (should have been saved on H-Drive and Desktop) Skyward Gradebook (via laptop) CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES: 1. Independent Reflection. Using the following slide as a guide, students will reflect on progress towards Student Learning Plan Goals. Reflections will be added to SLC presentation from November. (20-30 min)

The above bullet points are what should already be in your SLC presentation. (The one you did in November at conferences.) Below is the reflection you will be doing for each academic goal. You will ADD your reflection to your SLC presentation.
