El Dorado Hills Old Executive Golf Course Property Vision – Version 3 An El Dorado County Recreational “Diamond in the Rough ”

Based Upon Previous Planning Documents and Current Input From The Community  El Dorado Hills Community Services Department (EDHCSD) Survey  Community Economic Development Advisory Committee (CEDAC) Survey

El Dorado Hills Community Services Department (EDHCSD) Survey May 8, 2014 Objectives:  Evaluate registered voters’ and property owners’ support and priorities regarding acquisition of the “Former Executive Golf Course”  Measure the level of support for a local funding measure to acquire the “Former Executive Golf Course” and preserve as open space or develop into a community park

Results:  The survey found sufficient support within the community to move forward with a ballot measure at the rate of $68 per parcel.  Continue to focus efforts on top priorities of your community:  Preserving open space  Improve going forward as funds become available and community needs are further identified  Slow down development  Reduce Traffic  Continue to communicate the District’s strong accountability and oversight of funds.  Build a coalition of supporters, to include business and apartment owners, elected officials, community/student leaders and other stakeholders.  Parcel Tax Election is currently the best option.

Community Economic Development Advisory Committee (CEDAC) Survey, January 21, 2014 Objective:  To better understand the EDH community members view as priorities. Results:  High density housing is not favorable, but also do not want sprawl  Desire for more commercial in appropriate areas  Enjoy open space  Increase quality jobs and industry  Road improvements as new development goes in; be mindful of pedestrian and bike access  Support for pedestrian and bike trail system  Community sports complex!

Imagine The Possibilities… To Make the Fiber of Our Community Stronger

Part One El Dorado Hills Community Needs and Requirements

Volleyball Walking trails Bocce Ball Basketball Olympic Swimming Center Lighted Fields Concessions and Restrooms Softball Baseball Soccer Lacrosse Football Track Tennis Badminton Sports Fields in our Own Back Yard!

Having these sports facilities available in the center of our community will be a great asset to our aspiring Olympians. No more travel to other communities to practice our sport of choice. This will give our young athletes what they need to achieve greatness. Our seniors will also be able to take advantage of their favorite team sports right in our backyard. This is what our community has been waiting for!

Conference Rooms Game Rooms Exercise Rooms Sports Equipment Rooms Party Rooms Civic Event Spaces

Senior Activities and Sports Seniors are a growing part of our community. By combining the amenities of seniors in this vision, there are many benefits to be derived and avoid duplications of effort now in the works. A current plan Note 1 for a Senior Center include:  A complex with plans to include a pool, tennis court and community room accommodating 500 to 600 people with the option to partition the space into smaller rooms.  Physical therapy pool  Exercise room  Classrooms for cards, crafts, etc. By having an overarching vision and looking at the existing Senior Center located at 990 Lassen Lane and the existing CSD facilities at 1021 Harvard Way, many opportunities exist to satisfy the needs of Seniors as well as the rest of the community. Note 1 Excerpted from Mountain Democrat, Sept 7, 2015, Parker, January join forces on new EDH senior center

Centers for Performing Arts Amphitheater Indoor Performing Arts Center

At this point there are no unreasonable ideas Some Examples…  Driving Range  Future Farmers of America for all ages  Water ski park by zip line  Batting cages  Closed mountain bike course  Horse Boarding  Horse Arena for clinics  Disc Golf  Pickleball  Smaller patio style homes..

Conceptual El Dorado Hills Events Center

The contemporary ballroom of the El Dorado Hills Events Center is 4,500 square feet of high ceilings, distinctive windows and award-winning architecture which blends well with the El Dorado Hills architecture style. The 1,500 square foot stage adjoins the ballroom and is complete with the latest sound and lighting technology. Private meeting areas are created using sound-insulated partitions. With quiet ease, the ballroom becomes three distinct rooms with individual sound systems and lighting controls. These features, combined with the fully equipped professional kitchen, executive boardroom, and tastefully decorated lobby, make for a totally versatile, full-service facility. The Events Center has all the amenities necessary to assist with your event, including audio visual equipment, copiers, high-speed Internet access, teleconference equipment, computers, LCD projectors and more. Portable platforms or the beautiful oak dance floor can be placed anywhere in the ballroom, sized to fit your needs. Whether it’s a party, reception, meeting or show – the El Dorado Hills Events Center is the perfect setting. Conceptual El Dorado Hills Events Center Amenities

The main pool is 25 yards by 50 meters and can be set up as short course (Twenty-three 25 yard lanes) or long course (Nine 50 meter lanes). There are two 6 lane, 25 yard pools adjacent to the main pool. One of these pools is the diving well and is used for diving and synchronized swimming (home of the Santa Clara Aquamaids). The other 25 yard pool is a 3 1/2 foot deep pool where swim lessons are taught year round. There is a large covered bleacher space that is used to seat 5000 spectators and participants. Parking is limited at the International Swim Center, especially during swim meets.

This is a three day event and over 400 people are expected to attend. While here, participants will visit local restaurants and shops in Town Center and Raley’s shopping center and stay in available hotel space in El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park and Placerville. There will be plenty of parking in the onsite two acre tree lined parking facility. Access to the facility will be off Highway 50 at the Silva Valley Interchange. From there, take the new frontage road which will take you directly to the facility while not interfering with the normal flow of traffic on El Dorado Hills Boulevard. Many visitors have planned ahead and will arrive a few days early or leave a few days after the event and visit local wineries, gold rush towns and Old Town Placerville to name a few. During the day, off hours can be spent walking the beautiful trails in EDH Central Park or relax with a slow game of Bocce Ball.
