 Censorship is the suppression of speech or deletion of communicative material which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive or inconvenient to the government or media organizations as determined by a censor.  Internet censorship is the control or suppression of the publishing or accessing of information on the Internet.

 The extent of Internet censorship varies from country to country

 Pornographic and other objectionable websites  Social networks (Facebook, Myspace, Twitter)  Wikipedia  Political Blogs  You Tube  Nazi and similar websites  Religious websites  Google-particularly in mainland China and Cuba  Censorship-circumvention websites
