Our World War II Medium Term Plan

SATs SAT testing commences 9 th May 2016 At the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils will: ‘... continue to sit externally-set and marked tests in mathematics, reading, and grammar, punctuation and spelling. These will be used for school performance measures from 2016 onwards. A sample of pupils will continue to sit tests in science as well.’ Teacher assessment in maths, reading, writing and science will remain. Tests and assessments will reflect the 2014 National Curriculum. The results of the tests in reading; mathematics; and, grammar, punctuation and spelling will be reported to pupils and parents as scaled scores. Parents will be provided with their child’s score alongside the average for their school, the local area and nationally. Please try to ensure that your child is in school leading up to, and including, this week.

Home Learning The children will have a reading book to read during the week. Homework will be given to the children on a Monday. It will include a choice from the Home Learning Menu as well as having a maths and English focus.

Autumn Term Trip Our World War II trip is on Wednesday 18 th November at the Maritime Museum in Liverpool.

Thank you for listening! Are there any questions?
