Digital Advantage Parents (DAP) “Family Plan”:  The Digital Advantage is expanding to Parents!  45 mini laptops per Middle School  50 mini laptops per High School  Specific criteria to qualify for program  “Family Plan” = Family effort, a partnership between Parent(s) and every SUSD Student in family  Limited to one laptop per family

In order to participate in the DAP Middle School program:  A family must have a student currently enrolled & attending an SUSD middle school  Open to grades 6, 7, and 8  Middle school student must have earned a 3.0 GPA during 1 st quarter to initially qualify  Space limited to 45 families per middle school; Family must receive notification from school that they were selected in the drawing for a chance to participate  All middle school students with 3.0 GPA automatically entered into drawing

Family Effort = Students + Parents working together! Student Responsibilities:  Every SUSD student in the family must maintain 98% school attendance  During 2 nd and 3 rd quarter  98% = no more than 2 full day absences; includes both excused and unexcused)  Middle school student* must maintain 3.0 GPA by the end of 3 rd quarter * Family will only need to designate 1 middle school student school student

Family Effort = Students + Parents working together! Parent Responsibilities:  Parent must successfully complete 8 sessions of an identified Parent Institute  Parent must complete all 5 sessions of Technology Institute

Family will receive their mini laptop if… Parent attends all 8 sessions of a Parent Institute Parent attends all 5 sessions of Technology Institute All students in the family have 98% attendance (98% = no more than 2 absences) Middle School Student has 3.0 GPA* OR High School 10 th Grader has 2.5 GPA* “Yellow & blue makes green!” * GPA must be 3.0 for middle, 2.5 for high at the end of 3 rd quarter
