Target

  The target of our media and performance coaching is to combine communication, presentation training and personality coaching for external as well as internal communication.   The training is tailored to the individual needs of the participant and to the desired training focus (e. g. presentations, press conferences, interviews, talk shows, podium discussions).   The setting of this training is specially created to make the participant aware of how he comes across as a person, but also as the expert in his field.

  Within this setting we (the personality coach, the TV journalist and the camera man) will teach him how to break down the complexity of knowledge into a form that is respected by industry colleagues and understandable to viewers, readers, & target audience.   Along with working on “hard skills“, we will emphasize “soft skills“ to bring out his genuine personality. The speaker needs to connect with the audience by showing his “human” side. Sometimes it involves allowing the viewer/interviewer to hear the truth or see personal elements to show the person outside of his business suit.

  Our team will teach him how to balance confidence and credibility with sincerity and modesty.   He will learn to address the needs of the interviewer as well as the target audience in an objective and approachable manner.   This tool is known as “emotional bonding”. Emotional bonding helps create a partnership by developing an existing passion.

  TV journalists are used to dive deeply into unknown subjects as fast as possible, sometimes just within hours. They often have to translate very complex information into plain language, yet with entertaining and convincing elements, understood by the average TV viewer. We will teach these skills not only for external but also for internal communication.   Our guests will learn how to clearly communicate within the company in a language that helps unfold the key messages to the best.

Parts of the training program

Part I It involves personality coaching by an experienced trainer of top managers (DAX-30 companies, MDAX & Leading Global Corporations.) Part II It involves coaching in media communication by an expert with experience in journalism (German journalist degree, communication studies) and print/electronic media: ARD, NBC, CNN, PRO 7, arte, WDR, BR Hörfunk, FOCUS Magazin, die Zeit, etc.). The training program consists of two major parts:

Training Schedule

The following training schedule has proven to be especially successful with top managers of large companies that face frequent public exposure. The program starts with a full day of training in theoretical and practical communication aspects in a TV studio, followed by optional one-hour follow-up coaching to deepen the knowledge and its application at work and in business.
