Indoor Dangers Indoor Dangers Prevent them!

In the Bathroom children can… Drown in the toilet or tub Bump into the hardware Be electrocuted by hair dryers, etc. Be poisoned by medicine or cleaning products There should be a parent with them at ALL times!

Prevent it. o Be in the bathroom with them and keep an eye on them at all times! o Cover sharp edges with hand when they start to go near it. o Keep all electrical appliances OUT OF REACH or put away! o Keep all medicine or product kept away in closets or cabinets.

In the Kitchen children can… Cut themselves with broken glass or sharp utensils Pinch their fingers in large appliances Be poisoned by cleaning supplies Be burned by hot beverages or appliances Keep sharp objects OUT OF REACH!

o Keep sharp objects completely out of reach! o Keep them away from the dishwasher (especially when it is on!) o Clean up after yourself! o Put childproof locks on all cabinet doors!

In the Living Room/Bedroom Children Can… Have unstable furniture fall on them Be cut by furniture with sharp edges Be strangled by mini blind cords Can suffocate from a curtain

Prevent the problems! o Get unstable furniture fixed or just keep children out of bedroom where it is. o Buy padding to put on sharp edges or cover with hand when child is near it. o Have a hook high on the wall to wrap the long blind cord around to keep it from being in reach. o Dont get long curtains, or fold them up when in the room.
