Delivering Value – Transport Collaboration Optimization of transport costs and reducing cost of inbound raw materials Customer Detailed mapping Approach Customer - One of the largest maker and marketer of consumer packaged goods was looking to optimize their transportation costs, & reduce the cost of inbound raw materials. Approach -A partnership between the customer and CHEP led by a customer solutions resource developed a detailed mapping of shared carrier lanes, and empty backhaul opportunities Value - The project allowed visibility for those lanes that could be optimized by eliminating empty miles and installing a CPU system of replenishment, yielding savings of over $200K for the customer and efficiencies for CHEP Delivered Value Savings and overall results 5
