Delivering Value – Platform Mix Optimization One of the country’s largest food packaging companies was experiencing high costs Customer Process efficiency support Approach Customer - One of the country’s largest food packaging companies was experiencing high costs of handling at third party warehouses and felt that best practice was not being deployed in material handling activities Approach - The customer, their third party provider, & CHEP formed a project team lead by a customer solutions resource to document, and analyze the current process and provide process efficiency support Value - The observations proved that there were certain pockets of excellence in how processes were executed, and it delivered a cost savings analysis on when to produce to what platforms, as well as on what platforms to downstream; these insight generated savings of 25% in pertinent downstream handling platforms Delivered Value Observations

Delivering Value – Transport Collaboration Optimization of transport costs and reducing cost of inbound raw materials Customer Detailed mapping Approach Customer - One of the largest maker and marketer of consumer packaged goods was looking to optimize their transportation costs, & reduce the cost of inbound raw materials. Approach -A partnership between the customer and CHEP led by a customer solutions resource developed a detailed mapping of shared carrier lanes, and empty backhaul opportunities Value - The project allowed visibility for those lanes that could be optimized by eliminating empty miles and installing a CPU system of replenishment, yielding savings of over $200K for the customer and efficiencies for CHEP Delivered Value Savings and overall results 5
