Speaker Biographies Andrew Buckler, IBM - DB2 Emerging Technologies - Customer Enablement. Andrew was part of the DB2 LUW development organization for nearly ten years. During that time he worked on a variety of DB2 engine and tools products, including the DB2 Web Health Center and Web Command Center, the DB2 Health Monitor, the optimizer, and a variety of high availability technologies. His final development project was working as a development lead on DB2 pureScale's failure recovery and cluster management system. Currently, Andrew is working on customer and sales enablement for new DB2 technologies emerging from IBM's labs. Brian Mealman, IBM - IBM Certified, Consulting IT Specialist and Information Management Technical Sales Specialist. Brian has 30 years of experience in the IT industry. He was an IBM customer for 4 years and has been an IT Specialist for 26 years with IBM. Brian started as a VM Systems Programmer and then moved to Relational Database Technology soon after he joined IBM. He has worked with most IBM Relational Database Technology including: SQL/DS, OS/2 Database Manager, DB2 for VM & VSE, DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows, and DB2 for z/OS. Davendra Paltoo, IBM - Manager of QA and Automation. Davendra has 10 years experience working with CDC technologies and databases. In 2000, he joined Datamirror Corporation, a company that specialized in real-time data integration primarily between databases. Datamirror Corp. was acquired by IBM in While at Datamirror, Davendra worked in Technical Support working with customers to solve issues with Datamirror products and in Product Development focusing on Quality Assurance. After the IBM acquisition, Davendra joined IBM’s Software Group. He currently manages the CDC Quality Assurance team at the Toronto Lab. He is certified as an Oracle DBA.
