BETSY ROSS Betsy Ross (January 1, 1752 – January 30, 1836) is credited with making the first American flag.

FRANCIS SCOTT KEY Francis Scott Key (August 1, 1779 – January 11, 1843) An lawyer, author, and amateur poet, from Georgetown, who wrote the lyrics to the United States' national anthem, ”The Star-Spangled Banner".

GEORGE WASHINGTON George Washington (February 22, 1732  – December 14, 1799) He led the American victory over Great Britian in the American Revolutionary War as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army from 1775 to 1783. Led the writing of the Constitution in 1787. The First President of the United States (1789–1797)

THOMAS JEFFERSON Thomas Jefferson (April 13, 1743 – July 4, 1826) Wrote the United States Declaration of Independence (1776). The third President of the United States (1801–1809).

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN Benjamin Franklin (January 17, 1706 – April 17, 1790) Was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Franklin was a leading author, printer, political theorist, politician, postmaster, scientist, musician, inventor, writer, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat. This makes Franklin "the most accomplished American of his age and the most influential in inventing the type of society America would become.”

MARTIN LUTHER KING Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) Was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement.

MEMORIAL DAY Memorial Day Is a United States federal holiday. A day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

THANKSGIVING Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Day Is a holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November. The event that some Americans commonly call the "First Thanksgiving" was celebrated by the Pilgrims to give thanks to God for helping them safely to the New World.

PRESIDENT’S DAY Presidents Day also known as Washington's Birthday Is a United States federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February in honor of George Washington, the first President of the United States. Now the day does not honor any particular President, but honors the office of the Presidency.
