Site Plan Node # 1 Node # 2 Node # 3 Node # 4 Artwork Locations

Site Plan Node # 1 Artwork Locations

Node # 1

Title: The Puritas Promenade Location: Node 1, The corner at West150 th Street Artist: William Culbertson A masonry and precast seating and wall sculpture. The two large columns feature relief sculpture representing the Puritas area and community.

Dimensions: 20’ x 20’ x 8’ Masonry for the promenade would match the masonry for the building thereby extending the station experience to the corner. The ground will be graded up behind the wall sections ensuring safety and security.

The sculptural wall unit will also serve as bus-stop seating as well as a backdrop to the node. Styling is meant to echo the Station styling, creating a visual connection to the two locations. Bench seating

Sculpted relief panels on the four sides of the tall columns reflect the neighborhood's past and it’s future aspirations. Relief imagery shown for concept only – not actual design

Title: Lamp Clusters #1 Location: Node 1, The corner at West150th Street Artist: Krystof Zukowski Node 1 will be illuminated by a soft sleek and sculptural lighting cluster Number 1, which will also provide direction along the walkway to the station entry.

Light pole elements are 3” o.d. stainless steel. Top globe elements are 12” diameter frosted polycarbonate Light elements are 150W metal halide bulbs Ballasts and wiring with multi-tap box for either 120v, 208v, 240v or 277v – N.I.C.

It is located at the vortex of the on and off ramps of I-71. Sculptural Bench No. 1 will be located at the center of the semi-circular opening facing the on and off ramps.

The Sculptural Bench will serve as bus stop seating as well as a place of temporary comfort, rest and re-organization for passengers who may have packages or luggage.
