Deliver quality programs and effective instruction (CFCC Goal #1)  The Continuing Education Registrar will support and review strategies to implement workflow for student registration and building CE sections.  The Corporate and Continuing Education Director will develop and implement CFCC’s plan for the Governor’s JobsNOW “12 in 6” Project by Fall Semester Proposed programs include: Behavioral Health Technician, Sales and Customer, Food Service Worker/Cook, Truck Driving and Nurse Aide.  The Corporate and Continuing Education Director will develop strategies to address proposed significant tuition increase by:  offering additional courses that traditionally have high enrollment  adjusting course hours to minimize the cost for students by: 1. decreasing course hours where possible to decrease cost 2. increasing course hours where needed to enhance training provided, so students will not have to register for multiple courses

Deliver quality programs and effective instruction (CFCC Goal #1)  The Fire and Rescue Training Director will target new audiences to increase the number of NIMS Incident Command training by 10%.

Deliver quality programs and effective instruction (CFCC Goal #1) The Basic Skills Director will implement a plan to increase the current retention rate of 77% to 80% thereby exceeding the state retention rate of 75%. The Basic Skills Director will implement a plan to increase the number of students who complete a level or advance to a higher level in all program areas. The Public Health and Safety Director will develop a plan to sustain current increased levels of training by recommending one additional full-time EMS instructor by Fall The increased faculty member will allow less dependence on adjunct faculty and help address the increasing demand for emergency medical personnel in our service area.

Deliver quality programs and effective instruction (CFCC Goal #1) The Public Health and Safety Director will develop and implement Law Enforcement Professional Recognition programs in Criminal Investigation and Traffic Enforcement. The Public Health and Safety Director will develop a plan to sustain current increased levels of training. A recommendation of the addition of one Nurse Aide Level I course offering to meet JobsNOW 12 in 6 Program Initiative will be made by Spring 2010.

Incorporate the appropriate use of technology (CFCC Goal #3) The Continuing Education Registrar will refine and adjust the processes to improve the storing of CE records. We will scan and archive at least one year of CE documents by May 31, The Continuing Education Registrar will implement a plan for 70% of all CE courses to be available on Web Advisor through Instant Enrollment by May 31, The Continuing Education Registrar will support and review strategies to implement workflow for student registration and building CE sections.

Enhance the teaching and learning process through the provision of adequate, up-to-date equipment and learning resources (CFCC Goal #4)  The Dean of Continuing Education will seek to implement technology for at least 50% of all off-campus sites by June 30, 2010.

Provide increased access to educational opportunities through distance learning (CFCC Goal #5)  The Corporate and Continuing Education Director will facilitate the development of more online courses from current traditional classes, including HRD Employability Skills, HRD Economic Literacy, Substance Abuse Education and computer classes.  The Fire and Rescue Training Director will create a web page to promote training for fire, rescue, emergency management, and industrial fire brigade by January 15, 2010.

Strengthen partnerships (CFCC Goal #6)  The Dean of Continuing Education will coordinate efforts with the Deans of Arts and Science and Vocational & Technical Education to establish partnerships with Business, Industry, and Government to meet their workforce development needs.  The Community Services Coordinator, in collaboration with area agencies, will identify three additional off-campus community sites to offer classes in Pender County by March  The Community Services Coordinator will partner with Wilmington Parks and Recreation to deliver CFCC classes to community residents at two off-campus recreational sites by May, 2010.

Promote diversity at all levels of the college (CFCC Goal #9)  The Dean of Continuing Education will facilitate broadening the parameters of the Male Minority Mentoring Program (3M) to benefit students, faculty, and staff.
