LCA is a technique to assess environmental impacts associated with all the stages of a product's life from-cradle-to-grave

What does this mean in Graphics terms? Think about the life-cycle of a graphic product…such as a ‘Business card’ What is its life expectancy? How many should be made? What material should it be printed onto? How much ink should be used? Should it be laminated to extend its life-span? Can it be recycled? How?
