The ARK of the Old Testament 2 Peter 2:5 God “did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly."

 The PREACHING  “Righteousness”  The PEOPLE (2 Types)  The SAVED = 8  The UNGODLY WORLD = Majority  The PUNISHMENT  Ungodly NOT SPARED  God brought the Flood Water on them the Old Testament ARK

1 Peter 3:19-20 “by [the Spirit] also [Jesus] went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient…in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water."

 The PREACHING  Divinely guided and longsuffering  The PEOPLE (2 Types)  The SAVED = FEW, 8  The DISOBEDIENT = Majority  The WATER  Separated the saved from the lost  Few souls were saved “BY WATER” the Old Testament ARK

Hebrews 11:7 “By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which [faith] he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith." the Old Testament ARK

 The FAITH  Required to please God, Heb. 11:6  Moves God-seeker to obey with godly fear  Condemns the world  The PREACHING  Includes God’s warning  The ARK  Only ONE (made to God’s specifications)  Only those IN one true ARK were SAVED the Old Testament ARK

Matthew 24:37-39, “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away…” 1 Corinthians 15:24 “Then comes the end, when [Jesus] delivers THE kingdom to God the Father” Jesus’ Second Coming and THE ARK of the New Testament

THE FUTURE DAY OF DESTRUCTION 2 Peter 3:5-7 “…by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which [word] the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men..”

Only the Saved are in the NT Ark The church of Christ ACTS 2:47, “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” ACTS 20:28, “…the church of God which He [Jesus] purchased with His own blood.” EPHESIANS 5:25-27, “…Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle…but that she should be holy and without blemish.” COLOSSIANS 1:13, God “has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” In the end, only the kingdom delivered to God (1 Cor. 15:24).
