Today’s Class Describe the characteristics of an Effective Teacher Discuss the decision-making processes in teaching Discuss professional teaching standards Identify effective classroom practices Describe the decision-making that occurs in the classroom.
The “Star” Teacher 1.In groups of 4 identify six skills of a Quality Teacher. 2.Write one skill per body part using the following questions as guides. – What kind of teacher do students need? – What are the characteristics of that teacher who is going to promote increased student achievement for all students? – What are the skills necessary to be a successful teacher in the 21 st Century? 3.Be prepared to report out.
