It can store test results, x-rays or MRIs for different patients. Information and communications data NHS This is a system that allows computers communicate externally and internally. It will also allow communication with doctors by paging them as well as letting doctors have access to records in or outside of the hospital. Health records NHS This will make reports on appointments, waiting lists and statistics information. It will also send texts to patients on up coming appointments as well as letters. Information management staff NHS It will record a patient stay with clinical codes and they can record patient surveys. They will analyse patient data. An IT system is made up of software, hardware, data, people and processors. Libraries and knowledge NHS This will catalogue books electronically for staff, they will help to get staff the latest research and will assist health care staff with their education.
