CEDAR Objectives Develop understanding of the population-level determinants of dietary and physical activity behaviour Translate this understanding into the development of preventive interventions Evaluate the effectiveness of population-level interventions Estimate the public health impact of population-level interventions Develop the capacity for undertaking public health research Communicate with policy makers, industry and the public to ensure that research is informed by needs and to facilitate translation of findings into public health action
