Budgeting & Finances

22 Budgeting & Finances (1 of 3) Our goal at Pack ### is to provide a quality scouting experience with as little cost as possible to our members Pack ### is self-supporting Although Pack expenses vary from year to year, we must always balance income and expenses at all times We hold our main fund-raising effort in the fall Popcorn Sales All boys are encouraged to participate Prizes and Patches

23 Budget/Finance Conclusion (2 of 3) Pack Dues Pack Dues are $40 due in November Each boy is asked to sell $160 of popcorn. For every $40 of popcorn sold, the dues amount is reduced $10.

24 Budget/Finance Conclusion (3 of 3) This covers the expenses of running the pack Patches and awards for the Cubs Pinewood derby cars Fees and expenses for most pack events Other minor expenses for running the pack If you find yourself with questions about any financing item, or you would like to better understand funding and spending issues, please do not hesitate to contact our pack leadership

How You Can Help...

26 Everyone Can Help We ask everyone to volunteer to do one thing! If you can volunteer as a leader, co-leader or committee member that would be great! If not, there are lots of other ways to help out in the Pack Help at a Pack event Teach a Craft or Sport Write Thank You notes or Make Phone Calls Just let us know what you can do

27 Other things you can do Have your son wear his uniform to all den and pack meetings or scouting events Make sure your son attends den meetings Attend pack meetings and outings with your scout and cheer them on Offer assistance to the den leader Work with your son on any achievements that the den leaders asks you to complete at home
