«American school lunch»

School lunch Schools are often too far away from most students’ homes to make it practical to return home for lunch. In early American schools, students brought their lunches to school in a sturdy metal bucket, which might contain bread with jam or meat sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, and dill pickles. In the middle of the day school stopped for a lunch break, a time for students to eat while sitting and talking with friends.

From the history of school lunch 19th century American schoolchildren had three basic choices when it came to lunch: A. Boarding schools served formal meals. B. Urban schools often sent children home for lunch. C. Rural schools let children go home (if they lived close enough) or eat at the school Hot school lunches were sometimes organized and served by these groups.

Peanut butter Peanut butter is a food paste made primarily from ground roasted peanuts, with or without added oil. It is popular throughout the world and is also manufactured in some emerging markets. Its primary use is as a sandwich spread. Similar peanut pastes are popular in various cultures. In South Indian cooking, chili peppers are added to make a spicy variant of peanut paste. In Andhra Pradesh, India, peanut chutney is popular. In this variation, peanuts are ground and mixed with chili peppers and other ingredients.peanutsemerging markets sandwichspreadSouth Indian Andhra Pradesh, India chutney

Sandwich with peanut butter & jelly The most popular american shack is sandwich with peanut butter and jelly. It is tasty and healthy.

Baby carrot In North America, Baby Carrots are vegetables either miniature carrots harvested before their roots develop or adult carrots chopped into smaller pieces and peeled (known as baby-cut carrots). Taking fully grown carrots and cutting them to make them smaller was the idea of California farmer Mike Yurosek.North AmericacarrotsCaliforniaMike Yurosek

Juice Juices are often consumed for their health benefits. For example, orange juice is rich in vitamin C, while prune juice is associated with a digestive health benefit. Cranberry juice has long been known to help prevent or even treat bladder infections, and it is now known that a substance in cranberries prevents bacteria from binding to the bladder.[8]

Cookies American students usually eat different kinds of cookies at school. Such as oatmeal cookies, chocolate cookies and crackers.

Lunch box The lunch box has historically most often been used by schoolchildren to take packed lunches, or a snack, from home to school. The most common modern form is a small case with a clasp and handle, often printed with a colorful image that can either be generic or based on children's television shows or films. Use of lithographed metal to produce lunch boxes in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s gave way in the 1990s to use of injection- molded plastic.
