What do I put in a personal statement?  Why are you interested in research?  What are your career goals? Be honest Do not put that you are only interested in getting a MD They use these as recruiting programs

How do I choose a mentor?  Interesting Research  Ask about their research Are actually taking summer students? What do they expect of a summer student? What experience will you get?
